Three Sixty Five was an amazing undertaking for artist Martin LaCasse and myself. Martin drew a sketch everyday for a year focusing on one subject each month. The project was collected into 4 seasonal books and then we created a slipcase to house the volumes.
Along with selling out the entire edition, Three Sixty Five was honored with an Independent Publishers Award gold medal for best concept. The book was also awarded an Editorial Merit from HOW design magazine.

I designed the Ergo Grip out of steel 10 years earlier. Fast forward and the Ergo was redesigned as a plastic and rubber disposable version. It was a great experience seeing a product through it's whole life cycle, from idea to re-invention, manufacture, packaging and marketing.

Established Brand pigments were looking to break into a busy marketplace of ink for tattooing. We helped them create a square bottle that instantly set them apart from their round bottle competitors. Quality promotional material and a Choose Your Own sample set promotion all allowed Established to get recognized and quickly build a clientele.
It was great to work with Kidrobot and long time collaborator, artist Joe Capobianco. I really liked the original box we designed, but the client wanted to keep it dead simple. The toy was a sell out and even came in a Glow-In-The-Dark version.

Client: Town of South Windsosr
This was a redesign of a town's soccer program logo, that turned out being featured in a national advertising campaign.
Sprint tapped one of the soccer club teams to be featured in advertising for a new cell plan. The campaign was featured on the web, television and in print. Certainly the logo on the uniform was a small part of the ad, but it did feel good to see my design work in those Sprint ads.

The organization was new and they were looking for something to tie into a connection with current CT athletics, infused with a nod to the colorful heritage of baseball from the 1970's.
The explorations and studies on this project were something that were only stopped by time. I would still be cooking up ideas, this was a really fun project.

Part history lesson, part diary, all American. The goal of this project was to weave the text, with ephemeral artifacts and a historical context. The publisher wanted the story told through the discovery of all these elements. My aim was to create a travelers scrapbook. I hope the client continues this series of history based books.

The Hampden Beekeepers were looking for a logo update that reflected their heritage and the handmade / homemade nature of their products. I also designed a bag that would be seen by hundreds of thousands as they milled around fairgrounds.

Tattoo Artist and host of T.V's Best Ink Joe Capobianco launched both an art book and a sketchbook at the same time. Both did well in the marketplace, but the sketchbook is still a perennial best seller. It has become a staple on the tattoo shop bookshelf.
Beyond design services Magic & Rocketry is equipped with an amazing laser. I have created packaging, promo items, small parts, die cuts, art toy pieces and much more on the laser. This volume collects up and archives Toy designer Huck Gee's creations over a ten year period. I was given a lot of latitude with the layout and Huck had great photos of all his pieces. We also created special edition covers for the launch and subsequent book tour.
Pulse International is a tattoo equipment company where I have been the creative director for fifteen years. I have created logos, forms, websites, blogs, catalogs, stickers, T-shirts, products, packaging, advertising and promotional materials.
Being able to stick with a brand, to explore and develop it's identity has been a unique experience. I've had a front row seat for what has worked and what hasn't. Building this business has taught me a golden rule -The journey is the reward.
My favorite job for Pulse is creating stickers. The joy comes in knowing that over 100,000 stickers are out in the world, stuck to something, because of me.

Rebel Muse, a Texas based tattoo studio was looking for a redesign of their website that was clean, professional and focused on the art they create. They also needed a site that was responsive and would look good on all platforms. I also cooked us some new logo ideas for them.
Client: Woodstock Arts Fest / Burton Snowboards

This project was the marriage of tattoo and street artists with Burton snowboards. The artists were given blank snowboards that they turned into original works of art. The boards were then shown in a traveling exhibit entitled Rides Of Passage. The Rides Of Passage exhibit was on display at different galleries throughout the globe. The project was capped with hardcover collection of the art.

I have designed all the catalogs for both Pulse & Pulse Flash over the last 15 years. The challenge with these catalogs is keeping it both simple, functional and interesting.

DVD Packaging Design, Sticker Design
This was a great project done for world renowned tattooist Bob Tyrrell. The DVD captures Bob conducting a teaching seminar while tattooing. TattooNOW also put together a limited edition box set that I was able to design the stickers for.
